Your initial meeting with a man may be quite
electrifying. Do you remember how your heart raced when you looked into
his handsome face? And your parting after the date may have been
equally great. In between, he seemed to enjoy everything that you
shared together. You have no doubt that there is something very strong
tying you to each other, and you begin to have big dreams as to where
the relationship is heading. Then he vanishes into thin air.
Before you parted, he took your phone number
and promised to call. But he doesn't call. When a day passes, you will
reason that he simply does not want to appear to be too hasty. As the
days crawl by with still no call, you begin to worry about what could
have happened. By the time the days add up to one week, then another,
you will have pulled yourself apart as you try to find out what went
wrong. Where did you mess things up? Or was he merely taking you for a
ride? If so, why didn't you notice it?
There are numerous reasons that may make him
not to call as he promised. Here are some of the common things why men
don't keep their promises of getting in touch.
1. He wasn't serious
Of course this will hurt you, but perhaps he
was not as interested as he made it appear. For some men, we attract
them simply as sexual objects without any interest in developing
anything out of the relationship. Such a man most likely has other
women and you were just a means of fulfilling his desire.
2. He is not yet prepared for commitment
The man may be interested in you but does
not want to make any commitment as yet. As a result, he will try to
keep his distance.
3. Your craving for affection
Men like us to love them, but they are put
off by those of us who seem desperate. If you seemed to agree with any
trivial thing he said, and burst out in laughter at the slightest hint
of a joke, he will take note - and bolt.
4. Being impersonal
On the other hand, you may have gone to the
extreme opposite, acting too hard to catch. You need to strike a good
balance to arouse his interest enough to chase after you.
